 YULETIDE CHEER SPREADS ACROSS PARTY LINES: AKWA IBOM GOVERNOR CELEBRATES IPAC WITH FESTIVE PACKAGES

In a gesture of goodwill and inclusivity, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, extended the spirit of the yuletide season to representatives of different political parties under the aegis of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC)  through a convivial gathering, hosted by his Political Adviser, Prince (Dr) Godwin Ntuk Udeh.


At the event held in the conference room  of his office, Political Adviser to the Governor, Prince Godwin Ntuk Udeh PhD, in his remarks said the meeting was convened to appreciate members of IPAC for their support and contribution to the political system in the state.


Prince Udeh explained that the holiday largesse were a gesture of goodwill from Governor Umo Eno to share the joy of the season with  citizens in the state, regardless of their political affiliations. 


"This is not a political gesture, but a gesture of goodwill from Governor Umo Eno to all citizens of Akwa Ibom State," he said. "It is a reminder that we are all one, and we must work together to make our state a place of peace and prosperity."


Prince Udeh emphasized that the governor's ARISE Agenda is an inclusive and unifying vision that transcends party politics, and stressed that all parties must work together to ensure the agenda's goals are achieved for the benefit of all citizens.


 He urged the members to reciprocate the goodwill gesture of Pastor Umo Eno by setting aside their differences and focus on what is best for the state. "We must rise above party politics and eschew divisive activities that would impugn the image of our great state" he said.

 

He expressed his gratitude to the IPAC members for attending the meeting. He also took a moment to offer his condolences on the demise of the group's chairman, Comrade Ubong Emmanuel and prayed for the repose of his soul.


In her remarks, acting chairman IPAC, Mrs Blessing Umoh, (Chairman ZLP), expressed  gratitude to Governor Umo Eno for his generosity and kindness. 


"We are truly humbled by your thoughtfulness and compassion; Your generosity extends beyond party lines, and we are grateful for your willingness to reach out to us in this way." She enthused.


She commended Governor Umo Eno for his accomplishments recorded since taking office and noted the significant strides he has made in various sectors of the state's economy.


Comrade Blessing Umoh added that the governor's gesture of goodwill would not be forgotten, and that IPAC members would  partner the administration to improve the state of Akwa Ibom.


In a vote of thanks spokesperson for IPAC, Rev. Aniebiet Emmanuel (Chairman PRP), expressed gratitude to Governor Umo Eno for his generosity and kindness.


He further lauded his commitment to working with capable individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of their political affiliations and pledged IPAC's readiness to work judiciously with his administration for the good of the state.


Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of 200 bags of rice, 1 cow and a purse.


Also present at the meeting were the Honourary Special Advisers to the Governor on Political Matters, Uyo and Eket Senatorial Districts, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Henry Archibong and Arch Bishop Samuel Akpan, amongst others.
