 Sir John Etim Inaugurates 'Raffia City Entrepreneurship Scheme Committee'.

...set to embark on entrepreneurial training 




Inline with the Rural Development, Women and YouthI Empowerment programme of Akwa Ibom State Government as contained in the ARISE Agenda of the Pastor Umo Eno led administration, the Transition Committee Chairman of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, Hon (Sir) John Cleton Etim, has put in place a machinery to ensure the domestication of this critical component of the ARISE Agenda in Ikot-Ekpene.


This follows the inauguration of a 5 member Raffia City Entrepreneurship Scheme Committee by the Local Government administration in Ikot-Ekpene.


Performing the inauguration, today at the Chairman's office, Hon. Etim, reiterated his administration's commitment to consolidate on the strides of the State Government in the area of Rural, Women and youth development.


He posited that the core vision of the Committee is to identify and raise youths (male & female) in the Local Government for skills acquisition.


In his acceptance speech, Chairman of the Committee, Pastor Uko Michael, who accepted the task given to him and the Committee members, gave their assurance of service delivery, and thanked the council Chairman for the confidence reposed in him and the committee members.


The Committee Members are; Pastor Uko Michael - Chairman, Dr. Unyime Udoudo -Vice Chairman, while Hon. Lawrence Inyang is to serve as Secretary.








Members of the committee include, Elder Manasseh Umoette, and Dr. Emmanuel Kenrick- Member.
