A’IBOM NIPR HOLDS END-OF-YEAR COCKTAIL IN GRAND STYLE

The Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) celebrated its 2023 End-of-Year party in a grand-style on Wednesday.

The event, held at the Image House in Uyo, was a gesture of gratitude to both God and the members for contributing to the success and eventfulness of the year 2023.

Elder Manasseh Umoette, the Chapter Chairman, set the tone for the occasion by expressing that the gathering provided an opportunity for members to unwind and relax in the festive spirit of Christmas.

Reflecting on the achievements of 2023, such as the National AGM/Election, Chapter AGM/Election, Directors Conference, and the Police Public Relations Conference, Elder Umoette emphasized the need for a moment of solemn thanksgiving to God, relaxation, and merriment.

The State Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ini Ememobong, conveyed his appreciation to the Elder Manasseh Umoette-led executive for successfully organizing the event despite the Chapter’s financial constraints.

As a member of the NIPR Governing Council, Comrade Ememobong encouraged Chapter members to embrace the sacrificial love and generosity associated with the Christmas season.

Mr. Nsemeke Udoakpan, the Registrar of the Federal College of Education, Ididep, and the immediate past Chairman of the Chapter, expressed gratitude to members for their attendance and for making the event vibrant and meaningful.

Others who spoke, including the Rotary International District 9142 Governor, Rotarian Akan Emah, and a Fellow of the Institute, Mr. Sam Uko, extended their heartfelt wishes to members of the Chapter and prayed for a new season that will be filled with good health, happiness, peace, joy, and progress.

The event was marked by an abundance of drinks, food, good music, and lively dances.
