 26-yrs-old man arrested for disguising as a woman to write an exam for his 34-yrs-old girlfriend  A man identified as Angrez Singh, 26, was nabbed after he disguised as a woman to write an exam for his girlfriend in Punjab's Faridkot, India.    According to The Indian Express, on January 7, 2024, a multi-purpose health workers exam was conducted by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences at DAV Public School in Kotkapura.   Angrez Singh from Fazilka decided to write the exam by donning the guise of his girlfriend, Paramjit Kaur, 34,  Decked out in red bangles, a bindi, lipstick, bangles and a ladies' suit, Angrez Singh walked into the examination hall as if he were Kaur.  However, the officials got suspicious as the picture of Paramjeet Kaur on the application form was not matching with the face of the candidate in question. The man was alleged to have picked up a cutlass from the church altar and given the worshiper a deep cut. The victim was rushed to a hospital and is responding to treatment. Confirming the incident to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said; “Preliminary information reveals that the man of God claimed he could heal the madman and started praying. The suspect, from Chip Ward in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State and a 300 level student of English, Faculty of Arts, stabbed Nember, a 200 level student of Library Science in Faculty of Education, from Mbakor, Tarka LGA, Benue State for making noise.  Students of the institution are currently writing their second semester examination for the 2022/2023 academic session.  UNIJOS student fighting for life after being stabbed by female neighbour for 'making noise' A University of Jos student identified as Julius Nember, is fighting for his life in hospital after he was allegedly stabbed by a female neighbour.  It was gathered that the incident happened on Friday morning, January 12, 2024.  Ekperikpe Ekpo Earns President Tinubu’s Trust To Chair Gas Infrastructure Fund.  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has constituted the Governing Council of the Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF) with Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo as Council Chairman. The Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund is a creation of the famous Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) of 2021. The Fund is domiciled under the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA). It was established essentially to bridge the gas infrastructure gap in the Nigerian oil and gas sector. Its core mandate is in the funding of key gas infrastructure investments with potential to fast track the transition to clean energy and the Decade of Gas Policy of the federal government. According to Section 52 of the PIA Act regulating the MDGIF, the Fund shall be administered by the Council in accordance with the rules and regulations made from time to time by the Council.  Banker who committed su!cide combined her bank job with footwear business to make ends meet, new details emerge More details about the banker who was found d£ad in the restroom at her workplace after consuming insecticide have emerged. 32-year-old Amarachi Ugochukwu was found d£ad on Monday, Jan. 8, within the premises of a bank in Ikorodu where she worked  Around 1pm, she made her way into the restroom, where she was said to have drunk the insecticide, unknown to her colleagues. A marketing staff of a bank in Lagos state identified as Amarachi Ugochukwu has committed su!cide. According to police sources, Amarachi was found d£ad inside the staff toilet of the bank in the Ikorodu area of the state on Monday, January 8. The bank's manager went to the police to report the incident the same day it happened. According to the bank manager, late Amarachi's phone was found ringing endlessly on her table without her answering so her colleagues began to search for her. One of the office's toilet was forced open after it was found to have been locked from inside with no one opening it.
